Fearing International found themselves in a critical situation in 1999 when
they realised the need to upgrade their IT systems in order to avoid the
millennium bug. The £40,000 Microsoft Navision system purchased was almost
never installed. A poor implementation by their original supplier resulted
in a vulnerable few weeks for the company. Providentially, Fearing surfaced
from the crisis in better shape than before.
