wins IT Solution of the Year at Channel Network Awards

mobility solution for Market Intelligence Services makes Anglia a winner for
5th Year running.
For the 5th year running,
Anglia Business Solutions has been named a winner at the annual IT Channel
Network Awards. This year the Company was awarded IT Solution of the Year
for a leading edge mobile application. This was deployed at Market
Intelligence Services (MIS).
The winning solution is a .NET mobile application designed to eliminate
paper based questionnaires used in the collection of weekly retail price
information. The solution facilitates rapid data collection by store
researchers using low cost devices. These dynamically transmit the
questionnaire results to a web based portal on completion where clients can
immediately access the data in report format.
The solution was built using a combination of the latest Microsoft .NET and
Windows Mobile technologies together with Anglia’s own world class suite of
.NET development tools and applications. The solution consisted of 3 phases;
an administration console, a mobile application and a web application.
Benefits to date from the solution have been substantial. They include the
elimination of paper based questionnaires and a vast reduction in the time
taken to compile & process the completed documents. In addition, peaks &
troughs in the administrative workload have been flattened out while data
accuracy has improved. In addition MIS now has a historical record of all
data collected and is able to rapidly interrogate this to identify market
trends. The increasing amounts of data available for analysis will provide
new revenue opportunities as the quest for accurate and timely consumer data
intensifies.

The glittering awards ceremony took place on 11th October, at the London
Hilton on Park Lane. David Hurley, Managing Director of Anglia Business
Solutions, who collected the award said, “This is a superb practical example

and mobile technology with easy to use data capture devices to produce
significant productivity gains for the client. This is now a highly scalable
system with exciting future potential in areas where rapid data capture and
