Channel Network Award Confirms LINKFresh is "Pick
of the Bunch"
LINKFresh deployment at
Lincolnshire Field Products is named Vertical Solution of the Year.
For the 5th year running,
Anglia Business Solutions has been named a winner at the annual IT Channel
Network Awards. This year Anglia was awarded Vertical Solution of the Year
for its LINKFresh business management solution deployed at
Spalding based Lincolnshire Field Products (LFP).
The LINKFresh deployment handles all of LFP's financial and supply chain
requirements in once central, fully integrated and easy use solution. The
project was completed in just 4 months and to budget achieving significant
productivity improvements. A major element of the LINKFresh solution was the
total automation of LFP's EDI order processing activities. Previously, the
process of managing and processing the incoming EDI orders was a major daily
task. It is now possible for the process to be run at night without any user
intervention, with allocation of the complete Sales Order demand across
their extensive network of both internal and external pack houses and
suppliers.
In addition to the specific fresh produce functionality the solution also
addresses a number of financial and administrative requirements, these
include; supplier self bill, pack house labour self bill, consolidated
payment runs and a host of other features.
"The financial aspects of the system have helped enormously" comments LFP's
Managing Director Robin Hancox. "Cash management is so much easier;
reporting much quicker and getting information to our growers has been
greatly improved. In addition, periodic reporting is simpler which has
provided us with access to information that was not available with the
legacy system. In an industry littered with failed system implementations,
it is gratifying to report that the solution was successfully delivered
within budget and against a very challenging deadline."
The glittering awards ceremony took place on 11th October, at the London
Hilton on Park Lane. David Hurley, Managing Director of Anglia Business
Solutions, who collected the award said, "This is the second year running
that a LINKFresh based solution has won the Channel Network Vertical Market
Solution award. We know from the judge's feedback that this category was one
of the most hotly contested this year. Achieving this level of national
recognition justifies our significant investment in the design and
development of this powerful packaged application. Its success is a fitting
tribute to the skill and dedication of the teams at LFP and Anglia who
worked on the project."
