Anglia Claims National Award for 4th Year

Channel Network Award 2006 - winners logoAnglia’s Entry Judged E-Business Solution of the Year

Anglia Business Solutions today announced that the company had beaten strong competition to win a prestigious national award for the 4th year in a row. At the Channel Network Awards held on 19th October at London’s Dorchester Hotel, the company’s entry based on a B2B e-commerce project for Solutions Group plc was judged the UK e-Business Solution of the Year.

Commenting on the win Anglia’s Managing Director, David Hurley said “This is an exceptional achievement for Anglia to win at these awards for a fourth year in succession. Every year the competition gets greater and this year our entry featured a suite of unique .NET applications developed by Anglia to facilitate the rapid deployment of a feature rich B2B e-commerce website, seamlessly integrated to a world class business management solution.”

The winning solution was deployed for Northampton based TV & satellite equipment distributor, Solutions Group (UK) plc. It comprised a B2B web-shop using Anglia’s own .NET Reflective E-Commerce Suite, with Microsoft Dynamics™ NAV as the back office business management solution controlling all product, pricing & customer account information displayed on the web site.

Commenting on the win, Grant Lester, Managing Director for Solutions Group said, “We are now able to offer our customers an unparalleled level of service as well as having the IT infrastructure in place to economically extend our reach into new market opportunities. The increasing percentage of web-shop sales we have experienced has enabled us to reduce the administrative cost per transaction. In addition, customer service calls have fallen dramatically as clients take advantage of the online access to product information and account details. It really is an all round winning solution.”

The company is also proud to announce that its LINKFresh® business management solution for the fresh produce industry won Vertical Solution of the Year at the same awards.
