Channel Network Awards 2005 - Winners LogoAnglia celebrates 3rd successful year at the awards and also collects award for best Enterprise Mobility Solution

Anglia Business Solutions has enjoyed its best ever and 3rd successful year in a row at this years UK IT industry Channel Network Awards. The glittering ceremony was held on 13th October in front of a large and distinguished audience at the Grove Hotel Rickmansworth. The awards recognise real world ICT solutions across the whole of the IT, telephony, voice/data convergence and Internet industries.

Anglia collected the first prize for UK Enterprise Mobility Solution 2005. This award recognises Mobility Solutions that enable people to access their business applications from wherever they are located. The judges were particularly looking for innovative and scalable solutions where the reseller has understood the specific needs of the client and produced a tailored solution. The winning system, a business management solution with remote access and mobile vehicle tracking, was created for Inchcape Automotive, a subsidiary of Inchcape plc the International Automotive Services Group. The solution included Microsoft Navision, Microsoft MapPoint® Location Server, Microsoft MapPoint Web Service, Microsoft Windows Mobile™ 2003 software for Pocket PCs, Microsoft SQL Server™ 2000 and the Microsoft .NET Framework. This mobile solution utilising the MapPoint Location Server technology is the first of its kind in the UK.

Peter Wilson, Group IS Director at Inchcape plc, congratulated Anglia on the award, commenting: "We were delighted to once again work with Anglia on a successful project, which achieved high levels of service and satisfaction for our customers, and demonstrated innovation and cutting edge technology."

Anglia was also awarded UK Channel Company of the Year 2005. This award was given at the discretion of the judges and was for the company they feel from information included in the entries, had shown exceptional skill, endeavour and customer care.

The competitive solutions entered were of the highest standard from well known national organisations. It was gratifying to have the efforts of our people recognised by succeeding in such elevated company. Winning the UK Channel Company of the Year award against 40 finalists of this calibre was a tremendous achievement and a fitting tribute to the exceptional skills and customer care ethos of our personnel“.

Commenting on the award, Karl Noakes, Head of the Partner Development Group at Microsoft, said: “Congratulations to everyone at Anglia on this achievement. Our partners are at the heart of everything we do here at Microsoft and to see one thriving and growing like this demonstrates the success of our partner programme over the years."

Anglia’s world-class solutions have also previously been recognised at the Channel Network Awards in both 2003 and 2004. In 2003 the company won Best SME Internet Solution, and Best SME Mobility Solution in 2004.
