LINKFresh Triumphs at
National Level
Anglia's
Entry Judged UK's Leading Vertical Application
Anglia Business Solutions today
announced that the company's
LINKFresh package for the fresh produce industry had beaten
strong competition to win a prestigious national award. At the
Channel Network Awards
held on 19th October at London's Dorchester Hotel, the LINKFresh based
solution was judged as the best UK specialist application in the fiercely
competitive vertical category.
Commenting on the win Anglia's
Managing Director, David Hurley said "This is good news for the fresh
produce industry where many IT investments have failed to deliver the
promised business benefits. Operating under increasing competitive and
regularatory pressures, the industry needs all the help that a well
engineered world class IT system can offer. Gaining national recognition for
a completely integrated UK developed business application specifically
designed for the fresh produce sector is a significant win. It flags the
fact that you don't need big teams, a massive budget and long winded
deployment timescales to achieve success within the industry".
"What impressed the judges was that
the complete customer solution was rolled out by a very small team within
four months and to budget. The icing on the cake was the 5% increase in
gross margins achieved through the successful implementation of live stock
with full lot traceability. The combination of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV
ERP platform, LINKFresh packaged functionality and integrated mobile
warehouse management applications have delivered a powerful business ready
award winning solution. It is an excellent tribute to the skills and
dedication of the deployment teams who worked in partnership with the
customer to deliver real business value".
On being informed of the award, Paul White, Director of
Microsoft Business Solutions, commented "Microsoft's research reveals the
importance of specific industry expertise to customers when selecting a
suitable business management solution for their company. This is the key
driver behind our focus on vertical markets. Anglia's decision to invest in
the design and development of a packaged solution for the fresh produce
sector has shown their long term commitment to this industry. It has been
instrumental in accrediting LINKFresh as a Microsoft Dynamics NAV approved
add-on, the first in the world to date for the fresh produce sector".
"The award winning LINKFresh solution is an excellent example of how an
industry specific packaged application can be used to quickly leverage
business benefits. Customers now want rapid implementations of integrated
solutions as well as defined returns on their investment. The speed of
deployment, quick payback and efficiency improvements for the customer is
the reason why the LINKFresh application package is a worthy winner of this
prestigious national award".
