LINKFresh
is EGGS-ellent for Noble Foods
UK’s largest supplier of eggs
selects LINKFresh to manage movement of
60 million eggs per week.
Anglia Business Solutions
announces that it has been appointed by Noble Foods to deploy its award
winning LINKFresh® suite across the
group. The Microsoft Dynamics NAV based system will manage all of the
company’s supply chain activities at its various UK subsidiaries.
LINKFresh is a highly sophisticated but easy to use end to end supply chain
system specifically designed for the food manufacturing and distribution
industry. The solution will encompass Finance, Planning, live Inventory
Management, Quality Control, and Packing Centre Management.
The solution will be implemented to replace Noble’s existing Ross Systems
solution at its headquarters in Tring, Hertfordshire and also at its packing
centres in North Scarle, Lincolnshire and Thornton, Fife. A combination of
the LINKFresh core functionality and state of the art integrated mobility
technology will provide real time access to product information dynamically
as it moves through the entire supply chain. The solution will also
include an interface with Noble’s Moba egg grading equipment to collect
grading, packaging and traceability data. The solution is due to go
live in March 2009.
Commenting on the project John Kirby, Director of Business Systems
Development at Noble said, “As part of our strategy, we needed a world
class IT solution to assist us in achieving our commercial ambitions. The
Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP suite is the leading mid range system with a
healthy roadmap of development which will satisfy our business system
requirements for many years. The food industry functionality
incorporated in Anglia’s LINKFresh suite highlighted their expertise in
dealing with the supply of fresh produce to our key customers - the
supermarkets. This, together with Anglia’s proven track record were key
differentiators in our selection process.”
Robert Frost, Commercial Director for Anglia also comments, “We are
delighted to welcome the UK’s leading supplier of eggs as a new LINKFresh
customer. The deployed solution will be an excellent example of how the
broad food supply chain functionality within the LINKFresh solution can
accommodate the needs of a niche sector such as the egg business.”
